Express Procedure
With the Express Procedure, 8.2 Certification GmbH offers plant operators an accelerated certification process for projects with particularly tight deadlines. This model is specifically designed for customers who need a plant certificate on short notice and whose projects meet the necessary requirements.
The express procedure is not standard, but rather an expedited process carried out only when capacity is available. The goal is to reduce processing time significantly without compromising quality, diligence, or regulatory compliance.
Who is the express procedure suitable for?
The express procedure is intended for plant operators who have an urgent need for certification, particularly when the timeframe is less than four months. All required documents must be complete and technically accurate, or only minor, easily correctable changes must be needed.
Customers are responsible for ensuring that the submitted documents are complete and accurate.
The express procedure is suitable for standardized plant types such as photovoltaic, battery energy storage system (BESS), wind, and combined heat and power (CHP) plants. The express procedure does not apply to complex special cases, project-specific deviations, or non-standard configurations.
Procedure for the Expedited Process
The process begins with a request for plant certification via the express procedure, including a specific desired start date. Before submitting a quote, we review the available capacity, taking into account the project requirements and existing resources.
After a positive review, customers will receive an offer with a fixed time slot or, if necessary, an alternative start date. The plant certificate review process is then completed in a maximum of two cycles, with each cycle having an expedited processing time of no more than two weeks. The sooner you submit complete and correct documents, the sooner you can receive your certificate.
There is a defined period between audit cycles for corrections by customers, which has a maximum duration of two weeks. Upon completion of the second audit cycle, the system certificate will be issued, unless a negative audit report is necessary. Express certification does not include an expedited procedure for subsequent conformity assessments.
Processing Times and Prices
With the expedited procedure, processing times are significantly shorter, with a maximum of two weeks per review cycle.
An express fee is charged for expedited processing:
- For system certifications, a surcharge of 50% of the regular price applies
- Due to the earlier start of work in this area, a 20% surcharge applies to the Declaration of Conformity (DoC)
- Additional test loops will be billed separately
Express certification is always subject to availability.
