2026 Summer Event – We're going for it!

Away from projects, meetings, and the daily grind, we had the opportunity to spend time together, see familiar faces again, and create new memories together.

It all began on Friday at the Zur Eiche hotel near Buxtehude. Even over our first cup of coffee, we were excited to see everyone again. We shared stories, laughed, and discussed a wide variety of topics. These personal conversations are precisely what make gatherings like this so special. They strengthen team cohesion and create space for connections that are often neglected in everyday life.

After setting off together, we made our way to Moisburg, where the active portion of our summer event awaited us. Although we had repeatedly thought about the weather forecast in the days leading up to the event, and it had even rained heavily at times during our trip there, we didn’t let that dampen our excitement. The canoe rental company seemed surprised when we called to confirm our tour, given the weather. Even though several groups had canceled, our answer was clear: “We’re going through with it!”

And sometimes, patience and optimism really do pay off.

No sooner had we launched the first canoe than the clouds cleared and the sun came out. Within minutes, our mood shifted from "I hope the weather holds" to a true summertime feeling. We took off our rain jackets, the sun came out, and we became even more excited for the hours ahead on the water.

The canoe trip that followed took us on a roughly three-hour journey through the beautiful countryside around Moisburg. We paddled, laughed, cheered each other on, and, of course, engaged in a friendly competition or two. Things didn’t always go according to plan. Not every canoe followed the exact route we wanted, so creativity and improvisation were sometimes necessary. It was precisely these little moments that sparked lots of laughter and made the trip a special experience.

Once again, it became clear out on the water just how important solidarity and teamwork are. When paddling, you quickly realize that you can only make progress if everyone pulls in the same direction. At the same time, the trip was the perfect opportunity to unwind, enjoy nature, and escape the daily grind for a few hours.

Maybe we’ve even rediscovered a little piece of our inner child in the process. Because sometimes it doesn’t take much to have a really great day—a few canoes, sunshine after the rain, and the right people around you are often all it takes.

After returning to the hotel, we enjoyed a group dinner that evening. In a cozy atmosphere, we were able to look back on the day’s experiences and relax and enjoy the evening. We would like to take this opportunity to extend our heartfelt thanks to the entire hotel staff for their hospitality and the delicious meal.

But the day wasn’t over yet. During the bowling session that followed, team spirit was put to the test once again. Amid surprising strikes, ambitious throws, and plenty of laughter, it quickly became clear that some participants were quite competitive. Above all, however, the focus remained on having fun and sharing the experience.

We finally wrapped up the evening in a relaxed atmosphere over a beer or two.

After breakfast together the next morning, it was time to say goodbye. With many wonderful memories to take home, everyone set off on their journey back.

Our 2026 summer party once again showed just how important shared experiences are for a strong team. It’s not just the projects and successes that bring us together, but above all the moments in between—when we spend time with one another.
